God’s not domesticated

Even though we live in the country, we don’t often see wild life near our house–maybe a deer in an near by apple orchard once in a while, or a pheasant in the yard a few times. So, I was a little surprised to see a coyote in our lower field early yesterday morning and, I may add, I think it was a little surprised to see me!

Wild and even just-a-bit-dangerous things don’t fit in our domesticated lives. That’s the problem with God; he is not domesticated. He does not exist in our comfort zone, we exist in His. He can be wild and dangerous and we had better be ready for Him to show up in our lives when we least expect it. You don’t want life to be boring do you?
